Meet the Interstate Roofing Team

Derek started at a young age in the family business.  He loaded materials at the warehouse his first two summers during middle school.  Soon after, he was working on the roof with crews for both steep slope and flat roofs.  He gained first hand experience from peers in BUR, EPDM, PVC and Standing Seam roofing. 

After Derek graduated high school, he attended WTC and graduated with a degree in Computer Office Specialist.  Quickly, he 

implemented those skills to improve bidding efficiency for the company and started his career as an estimator.  

Derek married his high school sweetheart soon after gaining his degree.  Together they have 5 beautiful children together.  

After 50 incredible years in the roofing industry, Derek's father Charlie completed a succession plan with Derek and his brother in law Jon Kloehn.  

As always, we wish Charlie and Shirley a fun and blessed retirement.

Payroll, benefits administration and hiring. I have an Associates Degree in Supervisory Management.

I have been with Interstate Roofing since 2016.

In my off time I enjoy spending time with my family and my dogs.  We enjoy camping, fishing and cooking.

With the exception of two years, Chris has been with Interstate Roofing since 1990.  She handles accounts receivable, inventory posting and job cost.  Chris has an Associate Degree in Accounting along with a Bachelor Degree of Business Administration.

In her spare time, she enjoys walking with her dog, planting flowers and boating.

Michael is a full time Estimator.  His primary role consists of client relations, estimating, project management and drafting.  He has a civil engineering degree, along with extensive knowledge and experience utilizing software related to his profession.  In his free time, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and tackling home improvement projects.

AJ Eklov joined the team in 2019 as the Administrative Assistant/Receptionist.  She has over 26 years of administrative and accounting background and earned her Associates Degree in Office Computer Specialist.  In her spare time, she looks forward to crafting and baking treats for the office staff and crews.

Commercial Roofing Service Department managing rook leaks, repairs, maintenance, warranty, work and dispatching service crews.

On my off time I like spending time with family and friends.
